Unless the written savings account contract provides otherwise, when a minor or other person under legal disability holds a savings account, the association or federal association may pay out the funds to such person or the assigns of such person with like effect as if such person were of full age and legal capacity. Such payment shall be in all respects valid and a complete discharge of the obligation of the association or federal association as to the amount so paid. [1975 c.582 §86; 1987 c.658 §2]
