Texas Election Code § 173.062 Fee Paid To State Chair Allocated Among County Committees

Sec. 173.062. FEE PAID TO STATE CHAIR ALLOCATED AMONG COUNTY COMMITTEES. (a) The state chair shall allocate the filing fee for a district office accompanying an application for a place on the ballot filed with the state chair during the regular filing period among the county executive committees serving the counties comprising the district.

(b) Each committee's allocation is equal to the quotient obtained by dividing the amount of the filing fee by the number of counties wholly or partly in the district.

(c) The state chair shall deliver each committee's allocation to the county chair not later than the 10th day after the date of the regular filing deadline.

(d) On receipt of the allocation, the county chair shall deposit it in the county primary fund.
