Texas Government Code § 3103.003 Awards Committee

Sec. 3103.003. AWARDS COMMITTEE. (a) The committee consists of seven members appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate.

(b) Committee members serve staggered six-year terms, with the terms of two or three members expiring on January 31 of each odd-numbered year.

(c) A vacancy on the committee shall be filled for the unexpired term in the same manner as other appointments to the committee.

(d) The governor shall appoint the presiding officer to serve in that capacity for one year.

(e) Members of the committee serve without pay.
