Sec. 402.251. TEMPORARY TRAINING PERMIT QUALIFICATIONS. (a) The department shall issue a temporary training permit to a person who:
(1) has never taken the examination administered under this chapter;
(2) possesses the qualifications required under Section 402.203(a);
(3) submits a written application on a form prescribed by the department furnishing documentation that the applicant satisfies the requirements of Subdivisions (1) and (2); and
(4) pays any required fee.
(b) The department may issue a new temporary training permit under this section to a person on or after the 365th day after the person's previous temporary training permit expired.
