§ 3.1-59. (Repealed effective October 1, 2008) Bonds eligible for investment

Bonds issued by the authority under the provisions of this article are hereby made securities in which the Commonwealth, its agencies and public institutions and such city or county and the other municipalities, counties and other political subdivisions of the Commonwealth, all insurance companies, trust companies, banks, banking associations, investment companies, executors, administrators, trustees and other fiduciaries, and all other persons whatsoever who are now or may be hereafter authorized to invest in bonds or other obligations of a similar nature may properly and legally invest funds including capital in their control or belonging to them. Such bonds are hereby made securities which may be properly and legally deposited with and received by any state or municipal officer or state agency or public institution or any municipality, county or other political subdivision of the Commonwealth for any purpose for which the deposit of bonds or other obligations is now or may be hereafter authorized by law.
