§ 19.2-371. Signing and swearing to information
If the proceeding be instituted by an informer, he shall sign and swear to the information. The attorney for the Commonwealth also shall sign it, but if the law on which the proceeding is based contains no provisions as to informers, the signature of the attorney for the Commonwealth alone shall be sufficient.
