§ 19.2-378. Sale of property liable to deterioration, etc
If the property seized under the warrant be perishable or liable to deterioration, decay, or injury by being detained in custody pending the proceedings the court or the judge thereof may order the same to be sold upon such notice as he in his discretion may deem proper and hold the proceeds of sale to abide the event of such proceedings, or if such property may be stored without deterioration, decay or injury, the court in its discretion may order the same to be stored pending final outcome of the proceedings.
