§ 64.1-128. Transfer of evidences of indebtedness, securities and corporate stock held in decedents' estate...
When any executors or administrators appointed under this title shall have qualified thereunder and given bond as required in § 64.1-120, shall have completed the distribution of the estate with the exception of transferring any evidences of indebtedness, securities or stock in any corporation constituting a portion of such estate, such executors or administrators or the survivors thereof may file with the clerk of the court, in which such executors or administrators qualified, a petition under oath, describing any such evidences of indebtedness, securities and stock, reciting that all debts of the decedent have been paid and that a final accounting has been filed and approved, and, upon receipt of such petition, the clerk of the said court shall issue a certificate certifying that the powers of such executors or administrators continue in full force and effect.
