Appeal No. 95-3405 Application 08/077,505 Christopher. In the discussion of this rejection, the examiner did not refer to any combination of teachings from Steeves, Nelson and Christopher but appears to have applied, instead, Steeves, Nelson and Christopher individually. Accordingly, we will treat the obviousness rejection based on Steeves, Nelson and Christopher as if it were based on Steeves, Nelson or Christopher, in the alternative. The examiner should take note that misidentifying the rejection causes problems both for the appellant and the Board and more care should be applied in stating the ground of rejection.
