Checking for errors by listening to the signal being duplicated onto another disk nonetheless would have been obvious to one with ordinary skill in the art, from a technical or scientific point of view. One with ordinary skill in the art would have recognized that error checking can be performed at any time, including the duplication period. Conclusion We have reconsidered our decision in light of the applicants’ request for rehearing.
