Appeal No. 96-0309 Application 08/135,370 This is a decision on appeal under 35 U.S.C. § 134 from the examiner's final rejection of claims 26-41. Claims 1-25 have been canceled. We reverse. BACKGROUND The disclosed invention is directed to an information transmission system which incorporates techniquies to counteract the effect of fading. "The invention utilizes three prior art techniques known for improving reliability of the overall transmission process: error coding, interleaving, and frequency diversity (simultaneous transmission of the entire signal over two different frequencies), but eliminates redundant transmission." (Brief, page 2.) Claim 26 is reproduced below. 26.
