                                    adding said cyclic ether to the mixture of said salt and said alcohol in a non-                                       
                           polar solvent and allowing polymerization of said cyclic ether to occur and allowing said                                      
                           salt to scavenge trace water contained within said mixture such that a polymer of

                           rapidly                                                                        produced.
