We reach this conclusion based on the appellant's use of the phrases "for crimped connection to the brake hose" and "for connection to the brake tube." The second clause of claim 1 (i.e., a resilient retaining element extending between the brake tube and connector body) leads us in the direction that the combination of a brake hose, a brake tube and a quick connect coupling is being claimed. We reach this conclusion based on the appellant's use of the term "extending" rather than the phrase "for extending."
