Gene Currie also corroborates reduction to practice in stating that the haptics were treated with corona discharge and then the haptic was attached to the optic on or before August 1987. Specifically, Gene Currie states: What Larry did was to clean the surface of the polypropylene haptic, then treat it with the corona discharge wand (which oxidized the surface), . . . and then attach the haptic to the optic.
