A method for implementing a trading card metaphor, comprising the steps of: a dissociating a computer program, consisting of a plurality of electronic trading cards (ETCs), each ETC corresponding to a disassociated computer code segment and having an electronic format that supports card scarcity and card authenticity. (Smith) 5,533,124 July 2, 1996 (filed December 7, 1994) Claims 1-39 stand rejected under 35 U.S.C. § 101 as being directed to nonstatutory subject matter.
