Appeal No. 1999-1778 Application No. 08/888,365 invention relates to the configuration of the inner surface of the heat exchanger tubes. According to appellants, the present invention provides a new configuration on the inner surface of a heat exchanger tube that improves heat transfer efficiency. Independent claim 1, a copy of which is found in an appendix to appellants’ brief, is illustrative of the appealed subject matter.
