Appeal No. 1998-3281 Application 08/650,500 THE INVENTION The appealed subject matter is directed to a "process" for placing in an ink jet apparatus an ink composition comprising water, a colorant and a polymer bearing both hydrophobic groups and hydrophilic groups. Independent claim 22 is believed to be adequately representative of the appealed subject matter and is reproduced below for a more facile understanding of appellants' invention. Claim 22.
