Appeal No. 2000-0019 Application 08/977,451 DELIBERATIONS Our deliberations in this matter have included evaluation and review of the following materials: (1) the instant specification, including all of the claims on appeal; (2) the Appellants’ Brief on Appeal (Paper No. 18) and the Appellants’ Reply Brief (Paper No. 21); (3) the Examiner’s Answer (Paper No. 19); (4) the above -cited prior art references; and (5) the application’s prosecution history. On consideration of the entire record, including the above-listed materials, we reverse the Examiner’s rejections under §112, and affirm the Examiner’s rejection under §103(a). DISCUSSION The Invention The Appellants’ invention as claimed relates to a polyolefin composition which has 1-40% hollow microspheres, and 60-99% of a specified polyolefin composition, the hollow microspheres not being treated with a polyolefin chain degradation agent prior to contact with the polyolefin composition.
