BACKGROUND
The appellant's invention relates to a grease collection mat for placement under
the barbecue grill (specification, p. 1). A copy of the claims under appeal is set forth in
the appendix to the appellant's brief.
The prior art references of record relied upon by the examiner in rejecting the
appealed claims are:
Clark 4,512,044 Apr. 23, 1985
Sandaj et al. 5,868,270 Feb. 9, 1999
(Sandaj)
Claims 1, 3 and 4 stand rejected under 35 U.S.C. § 102(a) as being anticipated
by Sandaj.
Claim 6 stands rejected under 35 U.S.C. § 103 as being unpatentable over
Sandaj .
Claims 5 and 7 stand rejected under 35 U.S.C. § 103 as being unpatentable over
Sandaj in view of Clark.
