DECISION ON APPEAL
This is a decision on the appeal from the final rejection of
claims 1-4, 6-13, and 15-20. Claims 5 and 14 have been indicated
by the Examiner to be allowable subject to being rewritten in
independent form.
The disclosed invention relates to techniques for reducing
power consumption in pipelined processors. More particularly,
the predicates of predicated instructions are evaluated in a
