In addition, Creekmore discloses that data regarding prior transactions are stored in association with an identification of the customer (applicant is assigned an account number and is issued a check cashing identification card having a magnetic stripe. The card may include the customer's checking account number, and a driver's licence number which is unique to the customer (col. 4, lines 30- 47). Transaction processor 19 verifies whether the identification card is valid (col. 6, lines 10-40)). In addition, the transaction data includes the dollar amount of purchases and the time period (the customer supplies the dollar amount of the check being presented (col. 3, lines 9 and 10; col. 11, lines 11-14); the amount authorized counters 61 indicate the quantity of each type of check which can be authorized for the customer during each N-day period, and these quantities may be determined by variable factors such as the customer's check cashing history (col. 8, lines 34-40).
