Appeal No. 2004-0929 Application No. 09/386,103 We therefore affirm the rejection over Grandmont in view of Dean of claim 7 and claims 20 and 24-29 that stand or fall therewith. Rejection of claim 8 under 35 U.S.C. § 103 over Allison ‘756 in view of Allison ‘082 or Grandmont Claim 8, which depends from claim 1, requires that at least one of the troughs contains an aperture therein. Grandmont discloses that the webs (15) at the outer edges of the fins may have slots (16) therein for admitting a cooling medium such as air into the channel between the fins (col. 3, lines 14-18). These slots extend the length of the fins including the trough region (figure 1). The appellants do not challenge this rejection as to Grandmont. Accordingly, we affirm the rejection over Allison ‘756 in view of Allison ‘082 and Grandmont of claim 8 and claims 9, 18, 19, 28 and 29 that stand or fall therewith.
