Appeal No. 2005-0784 Application No. 10/138,315 paper 10 along only a single linear path 11, making a plurality of parallel folds (see fold lines 12, 13) in a direction transverse to the single linear path along which the glue was applied in order to form an intermediate item (see Figure 3) having first and second sides coinciding with first and second plurality of folds (see 14 and 15 of Figure 3), trimming the intermediate item to cause the first and second plurality of folds to be removed, making a first transverse fold along a line generally coinciding with the single linear glue path 11 (see Figure 4), making a second transverse fold (see fold line 22 in Figure 6) in a direction parallel to the single linear glue path 11, and making a third transverse fold (see fold line 23 in Figure 7 and the resulting product in Figure 8) in a direction parallel to the single linear glue path 11. This appealed subject matter is adequately represented by independent claim 26 which reads as follows: 26.
