                       This is an appeal under 35 U.S.C. § 134 from the decision of the examiner finally                             
               rejecting claims 1 through 30, all of the claims in the application.                                                  
                       Claim 1 illustrates appellants’ invention of an electroless cobalt plating solution, and is                   
               representative of the claims on appeal:                                                                               
                       1.  An electroless cobalt plating solution, consisting essentially of:                                        
                       a solvent;                                                                                                    
                       cobalt ions:                                                                                                  
                       at least one reducing agent; and                                                                              
                       an ammonia-free complexing/buffering agent.
