         Appeal No. 2006-1203
         Application No. 10/370,976

(answer, page 12). Considering the arguments presented by
Appellants and the Examiner, we agree with the Examiner’s
characterization of strips 404 and 408 as having the claimed
shapes. We observe that Figure 7 of the instant specification
depicts the inverted-F shape, similar to strip 404 of Tran,
partly made by the inner conductor of the coaxial feed. We also
note that the claimed shapes do not constitute any specific
relational limitations and therefore, find the Examiner’s
position in characterizing the claimed shapes of the antenna
elements as purely of geometrical designation to be reasonable
and consistent with the reference disclosure analyzed above.
In view of the discussion above, we find that Tran does
disclose the claimed first and second strip and their recited
connection and shapes and therefore, prima facie anticipates the
claimed subject matter. Accordingly, the 35 U.S.C. § 102 rejection of
claims 1, 3 and 6, as well as claim 10, argued together as one
         group, over Tran is sustained.

                                         9
