                                                          BACKGROUND                                                                    
                        The invention relates to electrical impedance based audio compensation in                                       
                electrical devices that are subject to variable acoustic impedance (e.g., wireless                                      
                communication devices).  Representative claim 1 is reproduced below.                                                    
                        1.      A method in an electronics device having an ear-mounted sound                                           
                        transducer, comprising:                                                                                         
                                determining a change in an electrical parameter that changes with                                       
                        changes in an acoustic impedance of the sound transducer;                                                       
                                determining audio signal compensation based upon the change in                                          
                        the electrical parameter;                                                                                       
                                dynamically compensating an audio signal sent to the sound transducer                                   
                        based upon the audio signal compensation.
