                 We have jurisdiction under 35 U.S.C. §§ 6(b) and 134(a).  We reverse and            
           enter a new ground of rejection.                                                          
                                    APPELLANTS’ INVENTION                                            
                 Appellants’ invention is a method of converting a document corpus                   
           containing an ordered plurality of documents into a compact form for storage in a         
           memory.   Figure 1 shows an example of a document corpus consisting of three              
           documents.                                                                                





           Appellants’ method involves assigning to the significant terms “name,” “fred,”            
           “scott,” and “live” the integer numbers 1-4, respectively, as depicted in Figure 2:
