Figure 1 of Sawka is drawn to a cross-sectional view of the embossed multilayer film (10) taught by the reference (col. 3, ll. 44-45). Base layer (12) may be embossed, shown by ridges (16) and (18) (col. 4, ll. 5-19). The embossed pattern may be a legend, logo, stylized representation, or any decorative or informational combination of alpha-numeric characters. Id. The protective surface layer (14) may be directly or indirectly adhered to base layer (12). Base layer (12) may be clear (col. 5, ll. 18-20). The multilayer film taught by Sawka may also comprise one or more decorative layers (20) and (22) (col. 7, ll. 62-65). The film may also optionally comprise a further decorative layer (23) (col. 8, ll. 34-37), and an adhesive layer (24) (col. 8, ll. 38-42). Sawka teaches that the multilayer film has both outdoor and indoor uses, and specifically teaches that it may be used as a floormat (col. 10, l. 47-col. 11, l. 14).
