           3          5.        Takao solves the problem of when a lateral-direction                          
           4                    acceleration is detected, the braking pressure force of the tug               
           5                    (tractor of a tractor-trailer) is automatically increased.

           7          6.        The invention of Takao relates to lateral-direction                           
           8                    acceleration detecting means, and in particular to attitude                   
           9                    control of vehicles for preventing rollover (Takao, 4, 7).                    
          10          7.        The tug can be used with a towed vehicle from a different                     
          11                    manufacturer, or a towed vehicle that is quite old compared                   
          12                    to the tug.  (Takao 9).                                                       
          13          8.        In controlling the attitude of a combination vehicle (tractor-                
          14                    trailer) the system quickly detects the trailer becoming out of               
          15                    control by estimating the occurrence of lateral-turning                       
          16                    occurrence (rollover) and automatically generating a                          
          17                    damping force for the towed vehicle.  (Takao para. [0009]).                   
          18          9.        When a lateral-direction acceleration which exceeds certain                   
          19                    conditions is detected, the control system automatically                      
          20                    changes the towed vehicle into a braking state.  (Takao,                      
          21                    para. [0010]).                                                                
          22          10.       When there is no possibility of rollover, the towed vehicle                   
          23                    can still be automatically braked.  (Takao, para. [0011]).
