Appeal 2007-1651 Application 09/791,152 INVENTION The invention is directed to a method of presenting a web page with a plurality of links. If the page is cluttered with many links close together and does not meet a proximity policy identifying spacing between links, the page is reformatted, inserting space between the links to meet the proximity policy. See Figures 5A, 5B, page 6, and page 17 of Appellants’ Specification. Claim 1 is representative of the invention and reproduced below: 1. A computer implemented method in a computer system for presenting a page, the method comprising: determining whether the page falls within a proximity policy; responsive to a determination that the page falls outside of the proximity policy, reformatting the page to fall within the proximity policy, to form a reformatted page, wherein the proximity policy defines a minimal spacing between respective links within the page; and presenting the reformatted page.
