Oregon Statutes - Chapter 292 - Salaries and Expenses of State Officers and Employees - Section 292.920 - Legislative Assembly to act on recommendations; authority to lower salaries.

The Legislative Assembly shall set the salary for each elected state officer, and all compensation for members of the Legislative Assembly, each biennium for the succeeding biennium, based on the recommendations of the Public Officials Compensation Commission. Notwithstanding other provisions of ORS 292.907 to 292.930, the Legislative Assembly by law may lower the salaries of members of the Legislative Assembly and elected officials, other than judges, to take effect at any time. Note: 292.920 is repealed July 1, 2009. See sections 10 and 11, chapter 901, Oregon Laws 2007.
