Oregon Statutes - Chapter 351 - Higher Education Generally - Section 351.040 - Term; removal; compensation and expenses of directors.

(1) Directors of the State Board of Higher Education shall hold office for a term of four years except for directors who are students or faculty members at the time of appointment, whose terms shall be two years. All terms begin July 1 of the year of appointment. No person may be appointed to serve consecutively more than two full terms as a director. Any person appointed to fill a vacancy occurring prior to the expiration of any term shall be appointed for the remainder of such term.

(2) The Governor may remove any member of the board at any time for cause, after notice and public hearing, but not more than three members shall be removed within a period of four years, unless it be for corrupt conduct in office.
