Nothing in the public health laws shall be construed to empower or authorize the Department of Human Services or its representatives, or any county or district board of health or its representatives to interfere in any manner with the individual’s right to select the physician or mode of treatment of the choice of the individual, nor interfere with the practice of any person whose religion treats or administers to people who are sick or suffering by purely spiritual means.
