Oregon Statutes - Chapter 744 - Insurance Producers; Life Settlement Providers, Brokers and Contracts; Adjusters; Consultants; Third Party Administrators; Reinsurance Intermediaries; Rental Company Limited Licenses - Section 744.535 - Adjuster licensing examination.

(1) The Director of the Department of Consumer and Business Services shall give an examination to each individual applicant for a license as an adjuster. The examination must test the qualifications and competence of the applicant and the knowledge of the applicant with respect to the classes of insurance that may be dealt with under the license and with respect to the duties and responsibilities of an adjuster under the laws of this state.

(2) The requirement of an examination under subsection (1) of this section shall not apply to an applicant who is licensed as an independent adjuster in another state that licenses adjusters of this state without examination.

(3) The director shall give examinations at such times and places within the state as the director deems necessary to reasonably serve the best interests of all concerned, provided that the director shall give an examination at least once every six months if applications for licenses are then pending.
