§ 15.2-1739. Compensation of special police officer
A locality, if deemed proper, except where the police officer is otherwise regularly employed and his duties as police officer are merely incidental to such private employment, may allow such compensation to the police officer appointed under the provisions of § 15.2-1737 as, together with any expenses incurred in executing his duties, shall be deemed right and proper by the governing body to be paid out of the local levy.
