From a review of the specification and appellants' arguments, the meaning of the limitation "automatically analyzing said one or more corresponding images" is understood. The specification refers to a computer measuring a value (e.g. density) relating to the image and the computer determines and assigns the aspect ratio of the one or more corresponding images rather than determining the aspect ratio of the image(s) from the associated markings stored with the markings or by operator input. The examiner has pointed to no specific teaching in either Yoshiwaka or Hicks, nor presented any convincing line of reasoning as to why it would have been obvious to one of ordinary skill in the art at the time of the invention to provide automatic analysis of the image(s) to determine the aspect ratio.
