Manafi does not teach:
an agent to suppress growth of gram positive cocci &
spore-forming organisms; or
an agent to suppress growth of non-coliform gram
negative bacteria.
Manafi therefore teaches a medium for detecting E. coli and
coliforms as claimed but without the claimed suppressing
