Appeal No. 1997-3970 Application No. 08/391,379 comprises at least one electrical impedance in the cassette as said indicator in said cassette, the impedance value of said impedance defining the parameter for the indication of at least one characteristic value of a fixed element of said record carrier of said cassette, and the at least one detection device of the apparatus is adapted to detect the parameter defined by the impedance value of the at least one impedance.
