Appeal No. 1997-3811 Page 2 Application No. 08/357,845 BACKGROUND Appellants' invention relates to a method of separating enantiomers of a racemic compound mixture from each other using high-speed countercurrent chromatography involving several particularly specified steps. An understanding of the invention can be derived from a reading of exemplary claim 1, which is reproduced below. 1.
