Coded information of a character is provided by an external providing means to a processing means which is connected to the providing means on a first bus while the processing means is connected to the frame buffer on a second bus. Font pattern information is transferred by the processing means in parallel with the processing of addresses of font pattern information from the second area of the frame buffer.
