Appeal 2006-2965 Application 10/320,628 CONCLUSION OF LAW On the record before us, one of ordinary skill in the art, at the time of the present invention, would have found that the AAPA-Ohshita combination renders the claimed invention unpatentable under 35 U.S.C. § 103 (a) when Ohshita teaches forming slack portions by removing from the windings a previously-inserted rod member subsequently to joining the winding ends to the terminal pins.
