The main system determines if the identification data of an authorized user on file matches with the transmitted data from the customer at the point of sale and then returns the results of the decision on approval to the point of sale (McNeal, col. 2, ll. 34-38). 11. In particular, the main system checks to see that the fingerprint data is that of an account owner authorized to use that account (McNeal, col. 2, ll. 44-45). 12. Abecassis discloses a deposit protection center 40 that processes inputs provided from communications equipment 100, verifies credit-related information on that equipment, and then processes and sends payment once the transaction has been successfully completed (Abecassis, col. 6, ll. 8-16). 13. In one embodiment, the purchaser uses a check to pay for the transaction (Abecassis, col. 4, ll. 64-68; Fig. 1A). 14.
