Appeal No. 2007-0395 Page 3 Application No. 09/789,678 1 providing purchasing information over the computer 2 network including a location for the consumer (14) to the 3 facilitator (16), 4 determining the local retailer (20) having jurisdiction 5 over the purchase based upon the location of the customer (14), 6 initiating a transmission of a first set of funds by the 7 facilitator (16) from the customer (14) for payment of the 8 goods, 9 initiating a transmission of a portion of the first set of 10 funds as a second set of funds by the facilitator (16) to the 11 supplier (18) for the cost of the goods, 12 initiating a transmission of a portion of the first set of 13 funds as a third set of funds by the facilitator (16) to the local 14 retailer (20) to service the customer (14), 15 delivering the goods to the customer (14), and 16 servicing the customer (14) at the local retailer (20) on 17 behalf of the supplier (18) as a result of receiving the third set 18 of funds including accepting the return of the goods by the 19 customer (14) to the local retailer (20) in exchange for 20 arranging the reimbursement of the funds. 21 22 ISSUES 23 The issue on appeal is whether Appellant has established that the 24 Examiner erred in rejecting the claims as being unpatentable over the prior 25 art. 26 27 FINDINGS OF FACT 28 The following findings of fact (FF) are believed to be supported by at 29 least a preponderance of the evidence. 30 1.
