1 P&G represents that little attention has been directed to the unique
2 problems associated with the skin of an adult woman when wearing a
3 catamenial pad. Specification 2:11-12.
4 According to P&G, there is a need for an improvement in catamenial
5 devices to improve the skin and hair hygiene of menstruating women and for
6 the catamenial device to have improved fluid handling so that more menses
7 enters into and remains in the device, and less on the skin and hair of the
8 wearer. Specification 2:30-33.
