Appeal No. 1999-0546 Application No. 08/724,542 combination would have been obvious. We observe that the continuous process of Crafton does not require the castings to be "submerged in the fluidized sand" or to maintain the submerged condition "for a period of time sufficient to thermally decompose the binder" as recited in appellants' claim 1 and we conclude that such features would not have been obvious at the time the invention was made to a person having ordinary skill in the art. For these reasons, we shall not sustain the standing 35 U.S.C.
