All these considerations appear to us to broaden the interpretation of the subject matter of representative claim 25 on appeal well beyond that which the examiner has even considered, such as to encompass the subject matter of the prior art that is generally known with respect to scroll bars, such as a perspective view or camera location depicting information only in a traditional two dimensional sense in physical space, and expanded upon to the third dimension of time to the extinct otherwise recited in this claim. As to the stated rejection, we agree with the examiner's detailed consideration of Wagstaff's teachings outlined at page 4 of the answer as it relates principally to page 2 of this reference. The examiner and we recognize, as stated at the top of page 5 of the answer, that the reference does not specifically or explicitly indicate that the referencing of the scroll bar discussed therein is to a coordinate system for a camera or a virtual world. Wagstaff's teachings are in the context of Apple Computer's Power Mac 9500/132 model which inherently has means of displaying scroll bars at least in two dimensional physical space, with a third dimension added to account for time.
