Claims 7 and 20 include similar limitations. Claim 10 recites in pertinent part the following limitations: "game logic which provides opportunities for each player to act . . . jointly with the other player at different points in said adventure game. . . ." Giving the four claims their broadest, reasonable construction, the limitations either allow or require joint action during the game. Claim 4 recites in pertinent part the following limitations: "said joint action means requires said at least two players to act jointly in separate locations while said split screen means divides the display into separate portion for each player." Giving the claim its broadest, reasonable construction, the limitations require joint action while the display is split. Claim 8 recites in pertinent part the following limitations: "said game logic requires the players to act jointly in different ways at different points in said game."
