The examiner rejected claims 1-6, 9, 10, and 13-17 under 35 U.S.C. § 102(e) as
anticipated by Schermer.2 Schermer teaches “a method for incubating a liquid reagent
with target spots on a first surface of a microarray substrate.” Column 3, lines 44-46.
