Appeal 2006-3416 Application 10/884,751 STATEMENT OF THE CASE Jaime Vargas et al. (Appellants) seek our review under 35 U.S.C. § 134 of the final rejection of claims 3, 11-14, and 17-21, which are all of the pending claims. We have jurisdiction under 35 U.S.C. § 6(b) (2002). SUMMARY OF DECISION We REVERSE and ENTER NEW GROUNDS OF REJECTION. THE INVENTION The Appellants’ claimed invention is to an anastomosis device for forming a sutureless connection between two blood vessels (Specification 1). Claims 11 and 20, reproduced below, are representative of the subject matter on appeal. 11. An anastomosis device, comprising: a central region; and a first flange connected to the distal end of said central region and deployable from a first position to an expanded position, wherein said first flange includes at least one multi-sided first flange element. 20.
