Oregon Statutes - Chapter 351 - Higher Education Generally - Section 351.638 - Faculty Recruitment Fund.

(1) A Faculty Recruitment Fund is created in the General Fund of the State Treasury. All moneys in the fund are appropriated continuously and shall be expended by the State Board of Higher Education for the purpose of attracting new, outstanding faculty members to the institutions in the Oregon University System. This purpose includes payment of costs incurred in relocating new faculty, retraining necessary teaching assistants for new faculty, acquisition of equipment such as laboratory equipment and facilities to support research by new faculty, payment of other costs incurred in recruiting new faculty and payment of costs associated with committing salary supplements to newly recruited faculty over a period of more than one year.

(2) The state board shall seek funds from private sources for deposit to the credit of the fund. Funds from other sources shall not be transferred or credited to the fund without prior authorization of the appropriate legislative review agency as described in ORS 291.375 (1). [1987 c.630 §1]
